Carter Concrete Structures has completed concrete work on the School of Dentistry for the Medical College of Georgia. The project is ahead of schedule and on the safety outcome, incident free.
The School of Dentistry building presented unique opportunities for Carter to demonstrate our six core competencies. Carter provided Surveying, Structural Excavation, Reinforcing, Formwork design and placement, Concrete Production and Hoisting for our client BE&K Building Group. Carter employed BIM modeling during the pre-construction phase using Revit Structures to produce accurate shop drawings, to aid in rebar detailing and installation as well as to provide precise formwork designs and building layout.
The size and scope of this project also allowed CCS to provide for on-site production of concrete. The mobile plant is capable of producing concrete of varying mix designs on an as-needed basis. This led to more flexibility in the pour schedule and productivity in the placement of concrete.
This is the most recent in a string of successful projects completed by Carter for client BE&K Building Group. |
